AIRCRAFT RESCUE FIRE FIGHTING



Members of the Sugar Grove Fire Department are trained to the professional qualifications for Airport Firefighter as identified in National Fire Protection Association 1003. NFPA 1003 standard identifies the minimum job performance requirements for the airport fire fighter responsible for aircraft rescue and fire fighting response, fire suppression, rescue, and post emergency operations. Sugar Grove Fire Department is an approved Airport Rescue Firefighters training center through the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal. All members receive their live fire training at O’Hare International Airport with the Chicago fire Department.
