Fire Suppression

The Sugar Grove Fire District prides itself on a safe, fast and efficient response to all reported fires within and outside the district on a 24 hour basis. The continuous training that all members are given throughout the year along with good leadership within the department makes for a very effective fire suppression force. Fire Suppression is the physical act of controlling and then extinguishing a fire safely and efficiently. The scope of fire suppression varies dramatically from transportation fires involving cars, trucks, trains, and planes to residential, commercial and industrial structure fires. Different techniques, tools and special response of additional personnel all combine to provide the necessary resources to extinguish any given fire incident. All the vehicles and tools you may see in our station or out in the community play an important role in fire suppression within our community. Always remember the best fire suppression is fire prevention.
